Maya K Templer is a Brisbane-based animator and illustrator.
Originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand, she has a strong imagination and a knack for distilling a broad range of influences into her distinctive style.
Recently, her work has included environmental communication with emerging podcast The Seed Pod and a baker’s dozen of vibrant poster designs for music-makers across the world. A project that saw success in 2023 was her political card game - Meet The Candidates, highlighting her visual communication skills, mixed with an astute research-based practice. This was assisted by a grant from the Blackbird Foundation’s ProtoStars fund.
In her spare time, Maya enjoys; cycling, swimming and gardening.
